Apart from a brief stint in my teenage years, I had successfully avoided fishing :) Today, at 55, I regret missing out on all those years when I could have been connecting with nature and meeting people deeply attached to their passion—making them fascinating and unique. Every angler has their own method and style, their own knowledge that allows them to confidently navigate wetlands and reeds in search of their catch. Whether successful or not, each angler experiences unforgettable adventures that continuously push them toward new challenges. This much I’ve learned so far. My modest experience, mostly limited to commercial fisheries—sometimes dismissively called “fish tanks”—has convinced me that an exciting journey lies ahead.
