A woman saved a bear cub
Thaky, a one-and-a-half-month-old male bear cub, arrived at the Bolivian rescue center La Senda Verde in October 2021. His mother was killed in illegal trafficking activities and Thaky was rescued by the police. When he arrived at Senda Verde, he was weak and malnourished. He could not eat and was suffering from health issues. He was infested with the Jigger flea (a parasitic insect that affects the skin) and had chronic lung issues. – We never received the bear that small as the one they rescued this time. He didnit want milk. It was very difficult to feed him. It was traumatic for him, but also for us because we knew that if he didnit have that, he was going to die - said Vicky Ossio co-founder of La Senda Verde. – We had this incredible volunteer and thanks to her we got Thaky finally start to receiving food, after a long proces of incredible patience of this volunteer. #savebear #WomanSavedBearCub #BearCub #OrphanedBEar #AndeanBear #Bear #everydayheroes #Rescue #RaisingBear #heartwarmingstory @PolishDrDolittle
